A simple wave

A couple weeks ago I made the trip back up North to ND! While home I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet of living on a farm in 'the middle of nowhere'.  I helped my grandparents move into a different apartment that weekend so I had to drive to town several times and while driving I was reminded of the simple wave.

If you haven't grown up in a small town community you may not know that where ever you drive EVERYONE waves! No need to be friends you just always wave. For some reason I noticed it more than before and how it really affects your feelings. I mean while driving and every car you pass waves as well, acknowledging you are on the road and as a person just saying hey; aren't you more apt to feel welcomed, included, accepted, and belonging? Opposed to living in a community where no one really acknowledges you even exist..that may be a little extreme, but really in a busy city we are more worried about where I need to go, and what I need to do.

So I challenge you to throw out a wave while you're driving! Make someone's day!
