My City Home!

I found this on Craig's list! it's the upstairs of a duplex 1920's home. We have been blessed greatly! Our landlords live below us and are amazing, generous people. They are so willing to share with us and have made us feel very welcome, safe, and comfortable here. Enjoy the photos!

TREEHOUSE

So below are a bunch of photos describing my time at TreeHouse, thus far.
I spent the summer as an Intern in Plymouth, MN and am currently a short-term Youth Outreach Specialist in Minnetonka! I love talking about TreeHouse! It is one of the most unique organizations for youth outreach that I have experience and had the opportunity to be apart of.
The relational model we use and the programs we provide such as support group, going deeper and mostly one to one mentoring are so impactful. TreeHouse for me, is a place where I can share ideas about teen outreach and see the impact of Jesus daily, not only in there lives but how He uses them to impact me.
Listening to these teens talk about their issues during support group changes my life and perspective just about weekly. We love visitors, so if you are ever in the area and would like to join in! Come ready to have a good time and be goofy!

ND August!

I went home for a few days between my internship and the beginning of my contract with TreeHouse. After living in the "big city" of minneapolis all summer, home (the farm) is one of the most peaceful places there is on earth. I LOVE IT! I love sitting on the deck and drinking coffee with mom in the morning. I love the yard space, which is hard to find in the city. And of course the dog, cosmo, i miss that crazy animal.
I am not bashing the city by any means, I do like it. Everyone would ask, 'So, how do you like the big city?' and well to be honest it's really its own small town. I mean you work where you work and you live where you live. It's not like you are driving downtown everyday all day long in the heat and hustle and bustle. The photos are from fields a couple miles away from the farm. I feel like they say harvest very perfectly.
While home I also had a new appreciation for small towns. For the majority of my friends that read this already know that I do love small towns. There are obvious pros and cons to anywhere you live but it is so nice being from a town where everyone knows you and you know them. However, I feel like the act of community is missing, to some extent.

Combining...i love it!

Twins Game!

Mads and I at the Twins Game!
Maddie and Marcus came for a Twins Game and had an extra ticket and I of course jumped on the opportunity to go for free!
We sat underneath the mega tron which mad it hard to see any of the videos etc. that they play...why is there only one?
I'm pretty sure it was one of the hottest days of the summer and so we just sat there as sweat continued to drip...everywhere! Unfortunately it was UND day or something so there was a sea of UND green...boo. But i did get a sweet baseball hat and t-shirt out of the deal (which i gave away to a friend of mine). So not too bad of a day with a free ticket, twins hat, and t-shirt!
I love the new stadium, baseball is really meant to be played outside, rain or shine. It just makes the game that much better, and of course beer and hotdogs!
